Joon Ma is a designer, educator, and co-founder of one-aftr. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Davidson College and a Master of Architecture from Princeton University, where he received the Suzanne Kolarik Underwood Prize for his thesis. His work has been recognized internationally, including a finalist for Dubai Expo Korea Pavilion and 2nd place on Europan 15 Vienna. His writings have been published in Rumor(Princeton), Paprika!(Yale), and Pool(UCLA). before founding one-aftr, he worked at OMA/AMO Rotterdam. He previously taught at Syracuse and Yonsei University and is currently a TSK Visiting Critic at Seoul National University.

He previously taught at Hongik University and is currently an adjunct professor at Kookmin University.
