In the process of transforming a gallery into an event space, we were tasked with designing shelving for wine. Our primary goal was to showcase the featured wine bottles while creating a captivating visual display reminiscent of a constellation. To achieve this, we decided to craft a unique shelving unit using readily available components: horizontal acrylic shelves, vertical concrete U-blocks, and stainless steel metal poles. The amalgamation of these three materials offers a diverse array of textures, including rough, smooth, reflective, shiny, and glossy, all harmoniously coexisting. This interplay of textures is also reflected in the various wine bottles on display.
